2018 Reading

For 2018 I am not going to have strict dates for reading books. Instead, below is the list of books I plan to read at some point over the course of 2018. If I finish this list, I’ll add some more, but I’m trying to be a little more realistic right now. Included are the six that I didn’t finish from 2017, four that my brother gave me as gifts for Christmas, some that were suggestions from friends, and other random ones…

  1. Don Quixote
  2. To Kill a Mockingbird
  3. Wuthering Heights
  4. Invisible Man
  5. A Tale of Two Cities
  6. Little Women
  7. The Power
  8. The Brothers Karamazov
  9. Locking Up Our Own: Crime and Punishment in Black America
  10. The Evolution of Beauty: How Darwin’s Forgotten Theory of Mate Choice Shapes the Animal World – And Us
  11. Don’t Put Me in Coach
  12. The Hollow Man
  13. A Thousand Splendid Suns
  14. The Five People You Meet in Heaven
  15. Furiously Happy
  16. I, Eliza Hamilton
  17. 11/22/63
  18. Brave New World
  19. The Time Machine
  20. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
  21. The Boy Detective Fails
  22. A Clockwork Orange
  23. The Giver
  24. The Bell Jar
  25. The Underground Railroad
  26. Her Body and Other Parties
  27. A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
  28. Americanah
  29. A Room of One’s Own
  30. Middlesex
  31. Man’s Search for Meaning
  32. Dark Money
  33. The Spirit Level: Why more equal societies always do better

***Subject to change, of course. Also not planning to read these in this order. I’m going to try to alternate between new and old(er) books.

Also I got this super cool poster for Christmas:

And gave this one as a gift:

So I may add some books from these as well. Time will tell.

Happy New Year!
